For anyone who's curious of bupropion (I've been on it for a few years).. Side effects I could feel from.. 150mg: Higher libido (no increased energy). 300mg: Higher libido, and a bit more energy. The higher libido has been a welcomed side-effect.. It has put the libido that sertraline brutally slaughtered on a bit more humane level. I have experienced hair loss, but I don't know if it's from the bupropion or if it's lack of vitamins, undiagnosed thyroid issues, etc.. My anxiety and vivid dreams were just as bad as before I started with the bupropion. I've not lost any weight and I'm a little bit less tolerant towards nicotine and other stimulants than what I was before the bupropion. Now I've been off the medication for almost a week though (because I'm broke), so I'm incredibly tired..

Did Wellbutrin really help change / boost anyone’s mood, or did it just give you more focus/energy??? Also, did it increase anxiety/cause muscle tension for anyone, or no?

I was talked into taking wellbutrin and started at a low dose, After several weeks it was causing me to worsen and the Doctor upped my dosage, A week latter I was driving home from work and forgot where I lived, I also could not remember my name. I drove for 4 hours around town until a friend of mine saw me at a stoplight and asked how I was doing, I told him I didn't remember where I lived and couldn't remember his name. He got in my car and drove me to the hospital (His wife followed) It took 2 days for me to get my memory back. I will never take this stuff again.

I have been experimenting with Vit D the last ~6 months. My doctor wouldn't test because of the cost but I take 5000 IU generally and honestly it really made me feel a bit better. I think I will increase it just to see, I've heard you can do large doses.

The anxiety part is wrong. It CAN cause anxious feelings in the beginning, but its also used as an anxiety treatment for those who dont like SSRIs or SNRIs.

I’m on my third week. The first week everything agitated me and I had headaches. Second week no side effects it’s just that my libido enhanced a lot. I’m not to hungry at night like I used to be. Unfortunately I’m still smoking. Hopefully that goes away. As for depression it is actually working.

0:38 doc should've never given you a 150mg XL solo, that doseage is used when you're taking in tandem with another anti-anxiety or depression med (think SSRI or SNRI) the 300mg is given when you're only taken the wellbutrin solo

PSA you should never just stop taking your medicine because you decide you don’t need it you should always work with your doctor to come off of it in a safe and slow gradual manner because it can’t cause suicidal thoughts and attempts and worse. Glad it worked out for you but I don’t want anyone watching us and thinking that they should give it a try without talking to their doctor
